As a premier home staging company, we understand the importance of achieving stunning transformations while being mindful of our clients’ budgets. Keeping our enormous inventory of furnishings and décor up to date is, as you might imagine, an expensive endeavor, but one that separates us from our competition.
That’s why we rely on a handful of well-known stores that offer a wide range of on-trend décor at affordable prices. These stores not only help us save money but also ensure that warehouses are stocked with items to suit every style and preference. Check out these retailers and our shopping tips so you can decorate your home like a pro!
At Home
When it comes to sourcing diverse décor options, At Home is often our first stop. With its expansive selection of furniture, accessories, and accents, we can easily find pieces to complement any staging project. This retailer also offers a wide selection of outdoor décor, including planters, lighting and patio furniture, things we need when we’re addressing curb appeal on a stage. It’s also a go-to for holiday décor, as well.
We do find that the quality here varies a lot, so if you’re just looking for something to give a room a quick update, this is your place. If you’re looking for a more permanent piece (furniture, for example) check over the quality before you buy. Either way, whether we’re aiming for something with classic style or something more trendy, At Home is a frequent stop for décor bargains for our team.
Marshall’s/HomeGoodsDefinitely one of our favorite spots for scoring designer finds without the hefty price tags, and chances are there’s a store a few miles from your home! Marshall’s/HomeGoods has as treasure trove of discounted décor and it’s a game-changer for our staging projects. From luxurious brand-name textiles like bedding and rugs to eye-catching art pieces and beautiful mirrors, this retailer offers an ever-changing assortment of high-quality items that allow us to elevate any space while staying within budget. Because merchandise turns over quickly in stores like HomeGoods (and because you’ll rarely find more than one of things like furniture and rugs) our motto is “If you love it, buy it.” You can always return it and there’s a good chance that side table you love will be gone tomorrow. Whether it’s a statement furniture piece or a few gorgeous throw pillows (ohhh, the throw pillows!!) HomeGoods always delivers on quality and affordability.
These gorgeous lamps…all under $50!Target
Another go-to destination for staying on top of the latest trends without overspending. From their of-the-moment furniture collections to chic décor accents, Target offers a well-curated selection of stylish items that appeal to a wide range of tastes, many created by well-known interior designers. We also love Target for linens and other soft goods. Target definitely has an edge over the other retailers listed here because their inventory of stock is extensive and what’s not in the store is likely available online. This lets us buy multiples of items we know we will use frequently.
